So glad to finally be sharing this news with you all. I have been awarded the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). This scholarship has enabled me to initiate the M.Sc. Public Health for Eye Care course at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. The course is run by the renowned International Centre for Eye Health.
I have received tremendous support and encouragement from my mentors, senior faculty colleagues, administration, friends and family and that haas enabled me to take a break in my career and move to London for the course. I arrived in the UK on Oct 2 and have been in self-isolation at the International Students House (Great Portland Street, W1W 5PN).
So its back to student and hostel life after like 15 years !
